Waiting on Spring

The dogs have been waiting for spring to come around, but spring has been having a hard time catching up with their anticipation. We did have a few days where we spent time outside playing for the day, and they are loving the green grass and the signs of spring that have finally appeared. They love being outside so they can run, romp, and rub.

Hello again...Long time, no hear!

So the last two months have been so busy. I finally found some time to update the blog, and let everyone know what is happening with us. I am going to start with a 2 month update on Gigi, and then I have pictures and journaling for events over the past few months below. So this is going to be a long entry - enjoy.

Gigi has adapted to living with us very well. She has her own bed, but she loves to try to see if she can share Gypsy's bed. Gigi and Chewy have become fast friends, and he has taught her how to play. There are some things she has figured out on her own however, like chips sacks have food in them, grass is cool, couches are comfy, the vet isn't too bad, and that these people really do just want to love me. We have only had her for two months, but it seems as though she has been apart of our family for a long time. She was the peice of our family that we needed to complete us.

March...
So March was the start of our busiest time of year. Speech team was ending, play practices were beginning, and the boys were busy getting ready for the AWANA games. Their team took first place! Great job boys!

Late in March the family got together for our DN's conformation. That is where I had the opportunity to snap a picture of my mom and the boys. ODS is finally taller than she is, and I think he likes reminding her of that. LOL!

April...
We were expecting an April filled with baseball practices, and me working non-stop on finishing the play. Then came the morning of April 5th. I was on my way to work when I received a call from YDS, "Um mom, ODS is laying on his floor saying he can't walk."
"What? How did this happen?"
"He did a cartwheel in his room, came down on his foot wrong, and now he can't walk."
So after finding a sub for the day, I made plans to go see the doctor hoping there was just a hairline fracture. To our dismay, he broke 3 metatarsals in his right foot and has to be in a cast for 4-6 weeks. So he will not be able to play baseball until the end of May. WTG!

One of my best friends had a baby earlier this week. We stopped by to say hello to him, and see how mom and dad are doing. He is so cute - and such a big boy (over 9 pounds!)

We spent time with the in-laws this weekend for DFIL's birthday, and to celebrate his upcoming retirement. Of course our beautiful DLN stole the show for the day. We knew she would be there so we took her favorite play toy with us - Chewbacca. She loves following him around, and he does so well with letting her hug and kiss and play with him.
