Blizzard 2007
Living in the heartland can be surprising at times. We knew that a snowstorm was on its way Wednesday night, but the weather men said we would only get 1-3 inches. By early Thursday morning we already had that much, and the storm was no where near being done. Schools, roads and businesses closed down leaving the area in a complete stand still. This continued into Friday, and by Saturday afternoon the roads coming into and out of the town we live in were still closed. I am happy to say the roads are open today, and the temperatures are in the 30's. Welcome to the heartland!
