Busy day...

Well I have been working on laundry and my Memory Makers Masters LOs. Dh was at a bass fishing tourney this morning, then we joined him for lunch after it was over. He was beat red and tired when we finally got him home! I mowed tonight - hoping for rain, but it probably won't happen! Tomorrow looks like another busy day.

Football Fever

Here is a LO that I did for fun!!
Title: FOOTBALL FEVER

PP, tags & borders: Crate Paper
Lil Davis letters
CI sports and letter stickers
Chip Chatter Pressed Petal letters
MM tag frames
SR numbers
Judith football stamp (black ink)
SU Chocolate Chip ink & spiral clip
Gold brads (fun tips - I stamped and heat embossed them silver)

Other fun ideas: I linked my son to where he was in the group picture.
Journaling: You had such a great time during your first year of tackle football. You looked forward to each game, and you gave 110% every time. You literally caught football fever.

Chewy update! (one week)

Well he has been here for a week and I have had to puppy proof everything in the house! Amazingly though, he still finds things I never knew we had! He has finally figured out how to get up on the couch - poor Unity that was her only refuge. She has adapted well though. He can get her playing, and she will actually pin him to the floor! It is so funny! Other things he has learned - a new game of "run away from mommy". If he has something he knows he isn't suppose to have, the minute I say - "What do you have?" he runs away. Man he is fast!

CS: Bazzill & SU
MM Foam stamps & rub-ons
Heidi Swapp chipboard letter
Junkitz rub-ons
blue and brown paint
Stampcraft, Memories in the Making date stamp & Judith stamps
Stampcraft black ink

SU Real Blue pen

Journaling: You never had a real home until we adopted you. You were rescued from a puppy mill, and for the first year of your life you lived in a tiny, crowded cage. We are so grateful for Carol Wheeler at Hearts United for Animals. She has given you the chance to live a life full of love. We brought you home, and you have been amazed by all the smells, noises, toys, a yard to play in, a soft blanket, laps to sit in, and tons of hugs and kisses. Welcome to your new world ~ Chewbacca Barnett Kruse.

Chewy update!

Well he has sniffed out everything! He had so much fun checking things out. The boys would run around, and he would chase right after them! There were so many new things to check out - flowers, leaves, rocks, and everything in the house! He had never seen stairs before - so he was scared at first. The first thing he learned was to go up them, then late last night he built up enough nevre to go down! HE was so happy when he realized that we had toys for him to play with! I was laughing so hard last night when the boys were pulling a blanket across the floor and he was attacking it! Then last night - right before bed - we let him out to go potty and he was introduced to June bugs! He pounced and growled and jumped and chased it for a good five minutes! I was laughing so hard I was crying.
So - what does Unity think? She is so happy! They both got a work out yesterday and we had a couple pretty tired pups last night.

Chewbacca

We went to Hearts United for Animals (a National no-kill animal shelter in Nebraska). I actually helped them rescue abused and negelected dogs while I wasin college. After working for them, I have never even thought about getting a dog anywhere else. For more information about this organization check out HUA.org.

So since March we have struggled with the idea of ever getting another dog. But Unity in the past month let us know that she needs a companion. So we went today.

This is Chewbacca or "Chewy" for short. He was rescued from a puppy mill last week. He is a Yorkshire Terrier - and he picked us! He is a sweet little boy, and he loves to play, and he loves to give kisses and hugs, and he loved being with Unity!! Since he was just rescued we couldn't bring him home today (it was a sad farwell between the two dogs - Unity whined) , but we get to bring him home on Friday!! It will give us something to look forward to at the end of this week!

Art Warehouse Impress-ons ST Project

These Rub-ons are fun to use! What a great project!

I found these rub-ons so easy to use! The colors were perfect for the KFD PP I had picked up not too long ago. I have a habit of putting rub-ons on ribbon - these adhered perfectly! The fun styles helped create the mini border on the white CS & I finished off the title there also.

Our lives...

Well our lives seem to be slowing down for the moment. Soccer is over, the play is over, Awana is over and school is almost over! I am really looking forward to summer this year. The boys and I have many plans for fun trips with Unity. I am ready for some warmer weather, but I would really be happy with out the humidity - hey I can dream! LOL!! I am busy in my scrapping life - and I am loving it! I will have some creations for The Scrapbook Site up this Friday. Then I should have more from Scrap Talk up this weekend! I am looking forward to a weekend of just scrapping!!

Some more JMT-Art creations

Both of these were done using Jennifer's Rosy Outlook digital kit.
