Here is my July layout challenge for Piggy Tales. I used the Little Red Riding Hood collection.
Spark a Revolution

PP & chipboard: Piggy Tales
Ink: Stampin' Up
Stamps: Autumn Leaves
Journaling:
Every year I can't help but to think about the poem "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere". All the sparks created by the fireworks makes me think about how thie ride did carry the fate of our nation with the horse hooves sparking a revolution. To me the annual firework show represents that spark from years ago.

What a party...

So YDS finally had his b-day party. We had 5 boys at the party. They had a great ime swimming, and playing games. A good time was had by all.

Dog Days of Summer

Our puppies bring much joy into our household, so when they get up in our faces or beg for food or just romp and play it is hard not to take pictures of them. Here are a few candid shots of them.

Interesting day...

So I had to take the two little girls to the vet today. Unity needed to have her teeth cleaned, and her skin issue looked. Our poor little girl has been having teeth problems since we got her thanks to the pupy mill she came from. When she was rescued they had to pull 10 teeth, a few years ago she has 6 more pulled. But - Gypsy needed to have her haircut. So I left them there and headed home to do homework.

Chewy spent the day checking the rooms and checking outside to see where the girls had gone. He wasone lonely puppy! Anyway, so I got my homework done. Then I started working on these altered canvases for the dogs. I am making one for each puppy we have had in our lives. So I have five to make.

Well after painting, the vets office called - the girls were ready to be picked. Unity lost 6 more teeth - so she only has 4 left. She is now on soft food, but she is just happy to be home. She also had some skin biopsy patches taken to figure out what is up with her skin issue, so she has a few stitches and is sore all over. So she is hurting tonight, but when we walk in the room she tries not to let on that she is hurting. She is so precious to us, and I am praying that she feels a little better by the morning.

Okay - yes I also had to pick up Gypsy, and she gave me the cold shoulder for awhile this afternoon. She struck the pom. attitude of "you left me there, and they cut my hair!" She got over it as soon as the potato chips came out.

And Chewy - he is so happy they are back! Unity has warned him that she doesn't want to play, but Gypsy showed her wild side to play with him. Then tonight we were outside and this beautiful dragonfly landed on the patio. We sat there marveling over God's amazing creation, and then Chewy came along and ate it! Yep - that's Chewy.

So both girls are settled in for the night, Chewy is still checking for misplaced food or treats, and I need a reality check! LOL!!

June PT DT project...

Out PTDT challenge for June was to make Summer inspirations using the Hansel Collection. Here is what I made, also check out Piggy Tales for the other inspirations.

Scrapping at Anne's

Okay - so a couple of weeks ago I scrapped with some friends at Anne's house. I decided to work on my 2007 album. I got 2 LOs done, and with the holiday and class assignments I haven't done anything since. I am hoping to correct that this week! :)

Gypsy's bright eyes...

Meet the newest little girl in our lives - Gypsy. We visited HUA on Wednesday, July 11th...and this beautiful little pom. grabbed our attention. She was surrendered to HUA by a professional breeder who couldn't care for the dogs anymore. She was a little shy and timid, but like Jon said - she is a jem. No - you are seeing things - she really does have blonde eylashes. She has really opened up to Jon and I over the last few days. She is still a little unsure about those boys - yeah - me too! LOL!! She is so silly, and the sweetest baby girl. Gypsy is very intriqued with the mirror in the basement, and she sleeps on the back of the couch. She has the cutest way to beg for attention - she sits pretty like a good girl. She is also really liking treats! :) She has even started showing interest in playing with Unity and Chewy. They are all such a joy in our lives.
