Sweet Waldo...

Most of you know that we have four dogs, but only those who really know us would know that we had a turtle. We got Waldo ten years ago when he was 24 years old. He was in the wild when he was first found with a cracked shell, and shortly after that we adopted him. We took him to the vet to fix his shell, made a 4' x 4' box for him, and found a suitable pie pan for him water. He loved to lay on our chests over our hearts, and he loved wandering around the house. In fact we named him Waldo because when he was out of his box he would find various places to hide in the house. Hence the idea of "where's Waldo" happened a few times throughout the past few years. Lately he has been moving rather slowly, and then today after school we found him in his box. Our dear little Waldo has passed on. We would like to thank him for the years of joy and happiness he has brought to our family, and let him know that we will miss him dearly. Rest peacefully little guy, and we will see you again someday.

Snapshots...

For those of you who have visited DH's blog, here is a version of "snapshots" that I have done for my family. I had lunch with my daddy the other day, and while we were sitting there talking he made the comment,"They are all growing up on me too fast..." So I got to thinking, what better way to commemorate it than through a video that he can watch my sis and I, and all the grankids change. So here it is...enjoy.

The year in review...

2008 was a very busy year for us. We took so many pictures that it truly is hard share them all, so I put together a video of us. Here we are in the year of 2008. Watch and enjoy!

The 11 Dogs of Christmas...

A tradition that we have at my parent's Christmas is to bring all the dogs. They have 4 dogs, my sis has 3 dogs, and of course we have our 4 dogs. So we had a total of 11 dogs at Christmas this year. It is a good thing they all get along. Here are they are...Enjoy!

Family Christmas Part 2

The day after Christmas we traveled to my parents for another family Christmas. More food, more presents, waiting in the bathroom for Santa, and time together was the order of the day. Here are some pictures from our time together. Enjoy!

Family Christmas Part 1

We had our own Christmas on Christmas Eve, and then traveled to DH's parents house on Christmas Day. Everyone was there. There was guitar playing, package opening, and just some down right fun being had all around. Here are a few shots from that special day. Enjoy!
