Windows...

Literally windows are panes of glass which we all look through. Sometimes there is a stunning view - sometimes there isn't. Metaphorically - windows are the perspective of how others view us, or it could be the window to our soul. What does my window show?

My window is clear. There are no pretenses, no expectations, and no rules that govern my soul in this world. If you want to see me - just look. There isn't a mask, the window isn't fogged, and the glass is plain. That is who I am. The person you see. I am fun loving and happy. I may not be a stunning view, yet there is a beauty of plainness in my soul. Sometimes I seem complex - look closer - I wear my emotions and my heart on my sleeve. What you see is what you get. Enjoy the view!

My LOs for The Scrapbook Site April Kit: Shabby Chic

From the 3 kits that are offered monthly, this is the kit that I used. I loved the colors and "shabbiness" feeling from the whole kit! The PP is perfect for these types of LOs and the variety is awesome! I also loved the Junkitz file-folder! For more information about TSS's kit club check out the site:

"A Will find a Way"

"Together Always"

"Read To Me"

"Love Me"

I loved this kit! But then again I love the shabby chic style.
This kit also comes with an awesome mini-folder by Junkitz. I will upload that tomorrow.

Activity? What is too much?

WOW! That is the definition of my life! My life is always chalk full of things that are going on - many things happening at one time - running here running there. When I was little all of the activities were mine, but now I have all the boys activities!

Here is a good example - Right now I am in the middle of directing the Spring Play, both boys have soccer practice twice a weeks & games on two days a week (needless to say they never end up on the same day!), church on Wednesdays & Sundays. That is a typical week anymore! Then you add on my job, Dh's job, dentist appointments, doctor appointments, ot to mention trying to scrapbook! It is amazing I get anything done! But with as busy as my life is - I know it would drive some people crazy - I am very relaxed! I know God is in control - and he'll lead me where he needs me. My life has a purpose - and how can I pass up being a teacher, a director, a mother, a wife, and a friend. I touch some many people in one day - that has purpose.

Life is like a box of chocolates...

...you never know what you are goin to get. Or in my sons case catch! We founf out today that he has influenza A! Poor guy will be out of school for the majority of the week! What a bummer - home sick!

Fun outside with Unity

The boys took our little Pom. outside to play with them this afternoon! I got some great shots of the boys and them playing with Unity. She had a blast even though she had to leap from footprint to footprint to follow! The boys thought it might be better to push her around in the sled.

I think Mother Nature is confused!

It has been snowing here since Sunday afternoon! It has finally stopped, but only after dumping 14 + inches on us!! I thought this was suppose to be Spring! We have a 3 foot drift in our backyard that the boys can't wait to tackle! Our poor little Pom! She is so tiny and is scared of the big drift! So we shoveled a little pathway for her around the backyard!

Some decisions are hard...

We are faced with the choice of what to do with our two dearest friends. We have had them both since we got married, but now they are both tired. We have struggled with losing one, because we know the other probably won't be to far behind. They were our first babies! They loved to run and play - they were always so lively and funny! We have watched them over the last couple of years slow down, and having a hard time standing up or going up the stairs. Then we were faced with some hard times the last couple of weeks. We have had to help them stand up so they could go outside. And these two beautiful friends are hurting. No matter how painful this is for me, it is the best decision for them. Since they joined our family at the same time, we are going to let them go together. The boys are very sad about this, but they understand. This is not how we want the boys to remember these dogs, the two that they have grown up knowing were always there, this way. Good-bye my babies! You are going to be greatly missed. Thank you for 13 amazing years of unconditional love, laughs, and tons of kisses. I can't imagine life without you, but I know I will get to play with you again someday.

ScarpTalk DT LO for Pressed Petals

This is my last project for the Pressed Petals. I painted the PPCC letters. They were yellow, but after painting I also sanded them. This allowed the yellow to come out behind the red in places. These are so easy to use and fun to work with!

Why do they grow up so fast!

It seems as only yesterday my sons were babies! They have grown up too fast!!! This fact was pinted out to me last night by my ODS. During the summer he was just below my chin, but as he showed me yesterday - he is now up to my lips!! He joked that, "Well now you don't have to bend down to kiss me." It made me realize that before to long, he will be the one bending down!
