A Year in the Life of Gigi...

We have had Gigi for one year today! We celebrated her one year anniversary with a special treat and some major lap time. She has gained so much trust over the last year, and has become such a loving loyal little girl. Although it has only been a year, it seems as though she has already been with us for a lifetime. We could not imagine our lives without her. She is still young and has a few puppy traits, but she is now mindful not to chew on things she is not suppose to have. Needless to say we went through a tremendous amount of shoelaces! Over the last year she has learned that walking is fun, chips are delicious, dinner time rocks, and blankets are oh so comfy. Gigi's favorite toy since July has been our little girl Ebony. They play all day long - from morning to night - they just play! Gigi has figured out that toys are awesome, the doorbell means someone new is here "so I must bark", grass is great to roll around in, and baths really aren't that bad. She loves to lick toes, lean on us for attention, and she sits for treats instead of begging. What a "good girl" she is, and hence she fits her name. Gigi is our version of "good girl". We knew when we got her that she would be such a wonderful little girl, that it was only fitting to give her a name that fit her personality. God has truly blessed us with such amazing dogs, and she truly is a little angel in our house. So here is to you our little Gigi; may God bless us with many more years of your beauty and loyalty. Happy Anniversary my little precious baby.

Reality Check

After dealing with snow for the last few months, mother nature gave us a reprieve the last two weeks with above normal temperatures. All the snow had melted, and it appeared that Spring might be making an early entrance into our area. The days were beautiful, followed by nights that didn't seem to chill you to the bone. Then on Friday mother nature gave us a shocking reality check. She reminded us with 6 inches of snow that it is still February, and Winter is not ready to concede to Spring quite yet. Well, it was nice while it lasted...

End of a Season

Well basketball season has come to a close around our house. YDS had two games over the last couple of weekends, and he did a great job! He did get a few fouls, but like DH said "If you don't have at least one foul your not doing your job." MIL & FIL cam up to yesterday's game, and were quite impressed with how aggressive YDS was out on the court. Here are a few good pics from the last two games...enjoy!
