"I see dead people..."

Okay - sorry - bad pun! Would you believe I actually spent the morning walking around a cemetary? I did. My dad was helping an organization gives tours of some of the founding fathers of the town I grew up in. Being a theater major - dad thought I would be perfect to help out as one of the tour guides! It was a walking tour, and I talked about 5 different families. Everyone who took the tour really liked what everyone had to say and found it very educational. So - GREAT JOB DAD!!!

The boys are back...

The boys have gone back to school! Dad took some pictures of them this AM, and as you can see they were really excited! THey had to get all the silly faces out of the way! They both had a great day, adn were really happy to see their friends again. In fact, the youngest said he couldn't wait until Monday!!

Work Days...

So the last tow days I have spent my time getting my room ready for my students to come back. That is right - it is school time already! My students start back to school tomorrow, but the boys don't start back until Friday. We are heading out to get their school supplies tonight! I can't believe that summer is already over!! Where did it go?

A Saturday of Rock and Roll

So, we took the boys to an all day concert. We met up with some friends, and had a great time! It was hot, and we all look a little crispy fried today! The boys thought it was loud, and YDS was a little bored at times - he just played Gameboy. Even though it was loud, they did love it!

So who was there? Firehouse, the lead singer from Foreigner, Starship, Blue Ostyer Cult, Warrant, and Dennis DeYoung (Styx), and others. It was a great show! A lot of old memories to go with the songs. The topper of the night for the boys was when Dennis DeYoung waved to them in the audience, and then they played "Mister Roboto". They had been waiting all day to hear that song! Here are some pics of our day's long journey!

The boys first concert...

Tomorrow we are going to a radio station's all day concert featuring some old bands. So it will be interesting what they think of Mom and Dad's old fogy music! We will have to take some pictures of their faces!! LOL!! That will be priceless!!!

Well - I did it!

I sent in my application for Graduate classes today. If I get approved, I will be in an accelerated Graduate program and received my degree in 15 months! Yep - that's right 36 credit hours in 15 months! The nice thing - it is online courses through the college that I got my BA from! No - BA does not mean bad attitude!! LOL!! Sorry - old joke!

August 9...A busy day

Well with both DH & I at work yesterday, Grandma(my MIL) spent the day with the boys. They did a lot! They had coffee with friends, watched a movie, went to the county fair, got ice cream, went swimming, went garage saling, and went shopping! Grandma got the boys new shirts and light sabers! And she got me a M&M dispenser! Thanks mom for everything you do!!!!

It starts...

Well, school is starting shortly. I had an inservice today for curriculum work, and will have workdays starting Monday! The boys don't start until next Friday - so they get just a little longer.

I wasn't sure if I was ready to go back, but after today with seeing my friends & the new supplies, there was a little twinge of excitement. I know that sounds sick; it takes a special breed to be a teacher! LOL!!!!
